Bling for me and my baby!!!

Well I have to admit that when I first heard of Teething Bling I was a bit skeptical. Once we got one to try out, I was convinced. I think that this is a great idea, my daughter is teething now and loves putting things in her mouth to chew. Before we tried Teething Bling nothing seemed to help soothe her discomfort, and we tried all kinds of remedies like, teething rings, these dough nut shaped products with water or some liquid inside of it that she absolutely did not like at all.

My daughter loves to grab onto my necklace and try and put it in her mouth. But, when I am wearing my Teething Bling necklace, she can put it in her mouth. I usually will take it off and give it to her while I am holding her. The Teething Bling necklace looks like a stone necklace to the ordinary eye. They also have pretty bangles too. I love being to accessorize with a product good for my child. I love that Teething Bling offers so many colors and combos.  I love we got a pretty Jade colored necklace and bangle.  It goes with everything and looks so elegant. The donut looks like a stone.

When we received the Smart Mom product we wore it and our daughter and she loved it, she started with the usual inspection of it with her trying to figure out what it is. Once she realized it was okay for her to put in her mouth she immediately did so. She also has a Teething Bangle that she uses for hours on end, we can work on the computer or do some work around the house and she will sit happily with her Teething Bangle just chewing on it. It's something that I can honestly say soothes her because she does not seem to be in any kind of discomfort at all, she actually seems like she enjoys it. No, this is not a toy and I only let my daughter put the Teething Bling in her mouth under supervision.

Fluffy Monkey Butts

I came across a new WAHM.  She has created a fitted cloth diaper named Fluff Monkey Butts.  She is just starting out but is on a good start.

As one of her first testers and reviewers, I have to say she has something that could be big.  Her fitted diapers are constructed of flannel on the outside and fleece on the inside.  We got a really cute swirl print for our daughter. 

Once we washed our diaper, I couldn't wait to try it.  The fitted I received has no closure on it, so we had to use a snappi.  I have never used a snappi.  I thought it was going to be harder than it was.  The first use we put it on Maya, without a cover and it lasted about two hours without any leaks.  Since it is a fitted, you should use a cover for full coverage.  We did try it on her at night and it didn't last the 11 hrs she was sleeping.  I now use this fitted for day time use.

Overall I really like Fluff Monkey Butt's fitted diapers.  It is absorbent, cute and made by a WAHM.  It did need a few improvements.  The back tabs were a little short and I would prefer some type of closure (aplix or snaps).  Since I received my fitted, Fluff Monkey Butts has made some improvements.  They will now have longer back tabs with aplix closures. Yay!!!!  Fluff Monkey Butts has a new and improved design...I can't wait to get the new design.

On a scale from 1-5, we give Fluff Monkey Butts 4 diaper pins.

It all begins with Square One

How many parents out there have gone to your local baby store to buy baby food only to wonder exactly what it was you were buying? You know, you stand there looking at the nutritional facts and not being able to read what it says because the words seem like they are written in a different language. Its ok if that is you because the fact of the matter is, you are not alone. Baby food always seemed artificial to us simply because of what it looks like, baby food, for lack of a better word, looks like slop. You can never tell what the food is just by looking at it, there is no texture and all of the flavors we have seen all look like apple sauce. Let Doopsy take care of the Poopsy

Its always exciting when we come across a new kind of cloth diaper. When we first started using cloth diapers we didn't think there were so many different choices, all boasting different features, inserts, and colors. We were not aware of how much of a wide variety of brands and styles there were, we unknowingly were being introduced to an amazing new market that we had no clue existed.

Then we came across a diaper called Doopsy SD Diaper. This diaper has an incredible feature, it has what they call a "super doopsy", which is like having a pocket within a pocket diaper. The Doopsy SD diaper is in fact a pocket diaper whose main feature is an amazing "double protection" insert. This double protection insert includes one layer of waterproof fabric on the diaper, one layer of waterproof fabric on the super doopsy that includes an extra absorbency pad with not one but two layers of bamboo hemp loop terry. You still want more protection? Well okay then, it also comes with one four layer microfiber insert. As an added bonus, the super doopsy can also be used on any prefold or any other type of diaper you can buy, which is a really nice option to have when it comes to cloth diapers because you never know when you will run out of inserts to use.

The Doopsy SD diaper is adjustable in more ways than one, it is adjustable in size and absorbency and can be used on babies ranging from ten to thirty five pounds. It also features a snap adjustment system that results in a trim fit made for your baby's body type. The Doopsy SD diaper also comes in a variety of different colors like sunny yellow, happy red, eco green, smiley blue, and giggly orange.

We love the fact that Doopsy uses both bamboo and hemp, two of our favorites. During the day, Doopsy SD diaper was great. My daughter is a heavy wetter and even with all of this absorbency protection, the diaper still leaked at night, which is a cause for concern. Even with the leak I still believe this diaper is a great product. This diaper comes with great colors, easy adjustable snaps, and an amazing absorbency protection feature. This diaper is definitely worth giving a try because of these great features, go out and give Doopsy a try.

What a Beautiful Beetle

I think its safe to say that everyone would love to have something soft to wear. Something soft like organic cotton wrapping around you giving you nice comfortable soft support without sacrificing stability and quality. Of course all of us adults would love something like what I am describing, so why not get something like this for our little ones, for our little beetle. Cute as a Bug!!! Little Beetles that is...

As a cloth diaper addict, I have been to almost every cloth diaper store in Chicago. On a trip to BellyBum Boutique, on the North Side of Chicago, I fell in love.  I saw my first Little Beetle. Little Beetle is a line of cloth diapers made by Better for Babies. The colors were so different than any other brand.  It was so soft. Why wouldn't I want that on my daughter's bum? We use a little of every system of cloth diapers with my daughter, but we love our fitteds.  I decided to get the Little Beetle One. It is a sized fitted.  We got it in willow green and with aplix.  The Little Beetle One is a trim fitting diaper. It is so absorbent, that if we are not leaving the house, we don't always have to cover it.  But with any fitted diaper it does require a cover.

Little Beetle One fits babies from 6-18 pounds. My daughter is now about 17 lbs and it still fits her great.  It is made of a soft Organic Velour. It is constructed with two layers of absorbent fabric with a hidden soaker in the wet zone area.  It also has a partially sewn in booster, that you are able to move to increase more absorbency where you need it.  The best thing is that it is certified organic and fair trade.

I wash all of my diapers together, and the Little Beetle One washes so nicely, and doesn't take as much time to dry as some of my other fitted diapers.

Little Beetle One comes in four colors; White, Willow Green, Sunny Orange, and Elemental Blue.  It also comes in three sizes; One (6-18lbs), Two (18-36lbs), and Three (26+lbs).  They also come in aplix or snap closure.
